You can have the most beautiful images in the world, but without understanding brand — that part of your business that has a particular perspective on the way things are done and why — you won’t have anything meaningful to offer those you are best suited to serve.

In a way, it’s your voice. If a question was asked to you and a group of others who do what you do, what is it that makes your answer different?

Maybe it’s more accurate, or more right. Perhaps it’s about taking a different approach. Perhaps your answer considers potential outcomes more heavily, which makes the process different case by case.

Whatever it is that makes you different, this is what informs your visual assets (photography, video, logo design, etc.) as well as the way you communicate your core messages.

It became quite clear that a large aspect of Jeremy’s brand is simply “figuring it out.”

If you have an idea for a project, he’ll figure it out.

Beyond that, the things he makes are purely innovative or new takes on old designs that have become tired and expected.

He pushes the boundaries, uses unique materials and media to create his designs and is always seeing where he can be a bit more outside of the box while preserving the intent of his design.

Our Approach

Using unique materials, focusing on practices like recycling and creating unique items based on the preferences and needs of his clients are core to the brand of JB Makes and Jeremy alike.

A hands on, personal approach with a focus on quality, usability and fantastic design.

One area of difficulty was that at the time Jeremy had products in process and without final branding (literally the wood brand he wanted to use on his products), we decided to hold off on product photography at this stage.

The solution was to focus on Jeremy and what makes him different than his competition.

We took a look at potential market conflicts and created visual assets that can be used for a variety of purposes.
